Fr. Joe Jablonski, M.S.C., and Grace Delgado, Life’s Healing Journey Director, held a very successful Spanish Life’s Healing Weekend Retreat (El Camino Para Sanar Las Heridas de la Vida) at our MSC House in Aurora on February 6 and 7. Fr. Joe and Grace received positive feedback from the participants after the retreat. The attendees listened to talks, joined in common prayer and small groups and felt peace and hope throughout the weekend while learning tools to deal with the struggles of life. There were about 26 attendees, along with the gracious help of 13 team participants.
The participants shared some positive remarks after the retreat.
“A great blessing to know the root of my hurts … a gift of forgiveness.”
“I feel satisfaction, tranquility and more peace.”
“I left the retreat feeling peace and with the tools to continue healing my relationships and more positive and healthy communications . . .”
“This retreat helped me to be aware of my reactions, learn to forgive, not continue to judge; and accept myself.”
Life’s Healing Journey is an MSC retreat that focuses on the human need for compassion, forgiveness, and personal healing. By joining modern counseling along with the MSC Spirituality of the Heart, many attendees find comfort and growth through the program. Many people have struggled with painful topics, including abuse, loss, grief, and sudden changes and disappointments can affect and control our lives. The goal of the program is for attendees to learn strength and forgiveness and move on from the difficulties that drag us down.
