An Easter dialogue:
Disciple: Lord, how can my soul be troubled on this Easter morn?
Jesus: The new creation like the old is light in darkness and the Spirit blows over waters that are wild and fearful.
Disciple: How far your Church has come, Lord, and yet how far to go! I too am half formed, half renewed. Part of me is light in you and part the ancient darkness – half peace, half turmoil.
Jesus: Peace be with you. I have made sure that light will prevail. I will surely bring you to the fullness of what you can become.
Disciple: Thank you, Lord, for showing me how to walk in faith through a world that is still half turmoil.
You moved from the desolation of Calvary to the joy of Easter, Lord. I believe that your Glory, the Holy Spirit, always achieves his loving purpose in you and us.
