The MSC stayed at my parents home (during my childhood). Masses were said in their livingroom! I have had devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I have always had a picture of Jesus in my home, for all to see. I have had many trials but I know Jesus just wants us closer to his Sacred Heart! I have been abundantly blessed. (I know the MSC through) a High School retreat in 1960s. “Spirituality of the Heart” I read “I Heart to Know Thee”. I joined the morning Mass in the Chapel for many years.

I knew the MSC from years ago at the Seminary on Rt. 30. I was active in the craft shows and activities in the gym along with attending Mass periodically. I am quite impressed with all of the priests and brothers’ dedication to their religious beliefs and the care of others.

My mom was the secretary at the MSC Center in Shelby. So I basically grew up there as a child. The MSC as a whole had a very positive impact on my family. I enjoyed working at the center in Shelby and attending Personal Growth Retreats.
I know the MSC from way back. My dad, a farmer, helped the first MSCs when they bought the land and farmhouse. I found out early in life that religious were ordinary people---like me. Association with them has increased spiritual growth in my life.
I grew up in Shelby and went to Mass at MSC Seminary. I went to Geneva Seminary from 1968—1970. I have many formational memories from my teenage years at Shelby Seminary. My two years at Geneva Seminary was a wonderful time and I was pretty impacted by the great men who were priests.
(I spent) three years at Geneva (seminary). (I) enjoy being part of the MSC.
