Here's what some of our friends have to say about us:

The Meaning of Having MSC in My Life:

The greatest influence in my spiritual life. Started going to retreats around 1993. I was looking for something more in my spiritual life. I know God lead me to the MSC spirituality. I can never thank them enough for bringing me their spirituality and charism of the heart.

Ruth Anne, Ohio
(A member of the Ladies Auxiliary and Lay Associate)

It is just a pleasure to have a relative in the religious.

John and Carol, Ohio

They have taught me so much about our Catholic faith. I began going to Advent and Lents days of Reflection in the early 1990’s
Geraldine Maria, Ohio

Our parish priest (Fr. Sommer) is an MSC and our son was influenced in his life choices and he is now an MSC.

Dennis and Jerrie, Ohio
(Also members of Lay Associates)

The MSCs have been a great spiritual force for our religious congregation, the Oblate Sisters, since the early 1950s. They are generous and passionate religious men who want to bring Christ’s love to the world.

Sister Joyce, The Oblate Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Ohio

(The MSC) helped my walk with Christ

Shawn, Ohio

The MSC stayed at my parents home (during my childhood). Masses were said in their livingroom! I have had devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. I have always had a picture of Jesus in my home, for all to see. I have had many trials but I know Jesus just wants us closer to his Sacred Heart! I have been abundantly blessed. Thanks so much for the 7/25 celebration ---Christmas in July---
Maryanne, Ohio

(I know the MSC) through our studies in formation and having MSCs for our chaplains at our motherhouse. MSCs taught us catechism of sacrament in Novitiate when we lived on Logan Road.

Sister Helen, Ohio

(I know the MSC through) a High School retreat in 1960s. “Spirituality of the Heart” I read “I Heart to Know Thee”. I joined the morning Mass in the Chapel for many years.

Sr. Norma, Ohio

I knew the MSC from years ago at the Seminary on Rt. 30. I was active in the craft shows and activities in the gym along with attending Mass periodically. I am quite impressed with all of the priests and brothers’ dedication to their religious beliefs and the care of others.

I love the charism of the MSC priests and brothers. And I like keeping in touch with the MSCs. Thanks for being YOU!

My mom was the secretary at the MSC Center in Shelby. So I basically grew up there as a child. The MSC as a whole had a very positive impact on my family. I enjoyed working at the center in Shelby and attending Personal Growth Retreats.

Lisa A. in Ohio

I know the MSC from way back. My dad, a farmer, helped the first MSCs when they bought the land and farmhouse. I found out early in life that religious were ordinary people---like me. Association with them has increased spiritual growth in my life.

Dorothy B. in Ohio

I grew up in Shelby and went to Mass at MSC Seminary. I went to Geneva Seminary from 1968—1970. I have many formational memories from my teenage years at Shelby Seminary. My two years at Geneva Seminary was a wonderful time and I was pretty impacted by the great men who were priests.

Mark H. in Ohio

(I spent) three years at Geneva (seminary). (I) enjoy being part of the MSC.
